Hey There!
My name is DeeOnna, I am an Illustrator and Graphic Designer from North Carolina. My work consists of distinctive detailing, vibrant color palettes, and a hunger for storytelling.
As a kid, I remember the bundle of illustrations my Mom had drawn over the years. Specifically, I'd glance at this drawing of Goofy hanging on the wall every time I'd pass by. Subconsciously, after staring at the lines and details almost every day til I could recall them from memory. This sparked that drive to draw. My Dad helped push me into pursuing a higher education where I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design at Methodist University. I have both to thank for supporting and helping me get this far into my passion.
I take inspiration from my daily life, research into serious topics, and observing people on an emotional level. Recently, I have become fond of challenging myself with using a limited color palette or adding new elements to my work such as animation.
When I'm not creating, I can be found with my head buried in a graphic novel and daydreaming about fun character redesigns from my favorite childhood tv shows.
